📣NEW ACTIVITY IN THE e-RIGHTS PROJECT !
✍ Development of a Guide to support the implementation of a reform of Nigerian policies on digital rights
On Thursday 28 and Friday 29 November, the final two workshops of the expert group for the development of a digital guide were held as part of the #e_RIGHTS project, organised by Avocats Sans Frontières France - ASF France and its partners SPACES FOR CHANGE and the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD).
Drawing on the best practices implemented within the European Union (RGPD), this practical guide will help to update existing Nigerian legislation and policy directives on digital rights, by formulating concrete recommendations.
It will also aim to integrate new emerging areas of technology such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and finance, new media and freedom of expression, telecommunications, privacy and cybersecurity, in order to promote a safer, more inclusive internet that respects fundamental freedoms for all.
