❗These actions are particularly important in a context where journalists in Nigeria are facing acts of intimidation, as illustrated by the case of Mr Nonso Nkwa, who was arrested and detained without access to his family or a lawyer for 5 days. These incidents create a climate of oppression that hinders the work of professionals in the sector and compromises press freedom in the country.

🤝 Avocats Sans Frontières France - ASF France and its partners are helping to strengthen the resilience of journalists and activists while advocating for a media environment that is safer and more respectful of fundamental rights in Nigeria.
